If it is rubbing the rear brake cable it is probably also blasting hot exhaust against the rear brake lever and swivel adjuster assembly. I had the same problem with a HD double taper muffler. So either spring for one with a bend in it ala OEM, or bite the bullet and bend your muffler and space the mounting bracket out to clear the rear brake parts. I went with a longer head pipe when I installed the HD Screamin Eagle glasspac and the end is now past the rear axle. Super Trapp has the required bend but is more $ than you want to spend.
